Dr Doreen Clark AM FTSE

Doreen is a scientist with extensive experience in business. She was Managing Director of Analchem Bioassay Pty Ltd and a founding director of Organic Crop Protectants Pty Ltd, her major business interest following her retirement from Analchem Bioassay. She is Vice-President of Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. Doreen Clark was made a Member of the Order of Australia in January 1997 for services to science and to education. Doreen was Chair of Children's Discovery from 2001 to 2021. 

Jon Jutsen FTSE

Jon is Chair of Children's Discovery. He is a leader in energy and carbon management having founded Energetics Pty Ltd in 1984. It remains Australia’s leading energy and climate change consultancy for business and government. Jon is also Chairman of the Australian Alliance to Save Energy. The focus of the Alliance is to double Australia's energy productivity by 2030 (2XEP). He is a chemical engineer with a Masters in Energy Technology. He was selected as one of the ‘100 Most Influential Engineers in Australia’ and is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Science and Engineering. He has been named as Engineer of the Year and received Millenium Medal for his contributions to the field. Jon founded the Children's Discovery committee and remains on the Board 20 years later.

Adam Selinger BSc. Grad Dip

Adam is the Executive Director of Children's Discovery and leads the team behind all of our activities. He has a post-gradulate Science Communication degree from the Australian National University and over 25 years experience producing innovative science and technology educational events in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, the UAE and the UK. Adam represented Children's Discovery in a partnership with the University of Wollongong that saw the development of the Early Start Discovery Space. It opened to the public on 20 May 2015. Adam is currently managing our national public library STEM initiative.

Ellis Zilka

Ellis Zilka is an experienced business professional with more than 25 years’ business advisory and managerial experience. He graduated from the Business Information Technology Scholarship Program at UNSW, before working for KPMG Management Consulting where his specialisations included IT Strategy, Business Process Reengineering, and Organisational and Management Reviews for private and public sector organisations. Ellis co-founded Proximity Pty Ltd, which later sold to Apple Computers Inc (USA). Since 2006, Ellis has been Principal of EZ Consulting and an investor in private and public companies. Ellis will be contributing his considerable experience in assisting Children's Discovery impliment a new growth strategy.
